Industry Experience

In 2011, Doug became a Certified Practising Valuer in Western Australia with five years prior commercial valuation experience in Auckland, New Zealand. 

Doug has been working with Opteon since 2016. In 2022, Doug was appointed as the national Head of Department for the Social Infrastructure team with significant experience within the childcare, education, medical and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) sectors.  

 Doug also has extensive experience within WA across the office, retail (shopping centres; large format retail) and industrial asset classes together with more specialised asset types such as trading properties, including childcare centres/businesses, service stations, caravan parks and licensed premises.

  • Associate Member of the Australian Property Institute (API Member No. 75639) 
  • Licensed Valuer in the State of Western Australia Licence No. 44826 
  • Bachelor of Business – (Valuation and Property Management) completed at Massey University, New Zealand – 2006
