Andrew became a registered valuer in 2008. Prior to Joining Opteon Andrew worked at LMW Valuers and Chesterton Valuations completing valuations in retail, commercial, industrial (including service stations) and multi-unit residential markets within South East Queensland.
Andrew also has a wealth of experience preparing and managing objections and appeals in response to the Valuer-General’s annual site value assessments.
Prior to this he was a Project Manager within the Coordinator-General’s Land Acquisition and Delivery Division where he was responsible for compulsory and negotiated acquisition of a range of land tenures for projects such as the Abbot Point State Development Area, LNG projects within the Gladstone State Development Area and the Callide Valley and the Queensland Children’s Hospital Project in South Brisbane.
Andrew has a detailed understanding of the environmental issues associated with service station sites, contemporary environmental site management practices and how they influence risk and values within this unique asset class. In addition to meeting with industry leaders involved with the sale and leasing of service station assets, he regularly meets with leading financial institutions to ensure Opteon’s reports add value and adhere to the evolving requirements of the major lending institutions. Andrew’s macro and micro knowledge of the petroleum and service station industry also adds benefit to developers seeking sites and during the planning phase.
