We are looking for someone with experience working in a busy payroll function to assist us during a transitional period here at Opteon. We are implementing a new Payroll system (Ramco), and whilst this implementation takes place there will be a couple of months of transition and we need a confident and knowledgeable individual to assist our Payroll Manager during this busy time.
Your key areas of focus
On-going maintenance of payroll system and leave planning system
Updating, maintaining and reconciling payroll records
Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries
Maintaining leave, sickness and overtime reports
Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime, shift allowances etc.
Undertaking required reporting, both internal and statutory reporting
Payroll administration – e.g. filing, setting up new starters
Calculation and payment of termination payments
Processing increases and calculation of back pays
Month end consolidation
Assist with administration of Valuer Bonus payment system
Management of Superannuation payments via Esuper
Identify and recommend solutions for any issue identified in the payroll administration process
Experience facilitating a full payroll using Rockfast or similar payroll system for a medium to large size business
At least 3+ years' experience in a similar payroll position
End to end processing of fortnightly and adhoc payroll(s).
Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work in order to meet tight deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
High degree of computer proficiency utilising Microsoft Office applications
Suitable Business Tertiary qualification desirable but not essential
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
Understanding of Awards/Fair Work Act and payroll/superannuation related legislation would be advantageous
