About the Role
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager you will be the first point of call for all service desk requests across all business units. Support can be in any format including email, phone or in person. Level 2 Support Officers are the first escalation point for requests that require a more technical solution.
Provide support to end users either over the phone, internet or in person, and solve their computing problems in a timely manner
Troubleshoot difficult or unusual situations
Monitor the emergence of issues into recurring problems and work to resolve the underlying cause
Automate workflows via scripting and group policy.
Assist as directed with the installation / deployment of new hardware
Assist with maintaining a useful, current and logical storage system for software and hardware installation files
Maintaining appropriate configuration standards and procedures for workstations and mobile devices
Provide high levels of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Commercial experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange & Office 365
Experience working on Level 1 and 2 Service Desk
Experience with workstation deployments/imaging and building software deployment packages
High level of working knowledge of PCs, printers and associated peripherals
Experience with onboarding new users
Awareness of data protection and privacy issues

Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS and Routing)
