About the role.
The purpose of this role is to assist with requirements, analysis and development of tools, data, techniques and processes to effectively execute Project deliverables and to support and maintain Opteon's core Finance & Payroll systems.
This will incorporate reviewing existing systems and working out the best way to meet those needs through the design of new systems or leveraging from existing unutilised functionality. The role will also provide support to the Projects & Systems Manager – Finance.
The incumbent will be required to contribute to the effective and timely integration of new businesses and the implementation of change processes within the Financial Services department in a period of rapid development and change in Information Systems and Technology.
The role will work closely with the members of the Finance, HR, Technology and Operations teams to provide technical support, assistance and guidance to staff to ensure effective financial management and reporting services, to enhance financial systems for stability and planning, programs and communications.
This role is predominantly a project oriented role, and centres upon delivering successful information systems which will deliver significant benefits to the organisation. There will be specific projects which will be required to be delivered during the next 3 to 12 months, and also some longer term projects which are under consideration.
You will possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels is essential to ensure smooth and timely outcomes of business priorities, together with:
Prior experience with the development and support of ERP systems (particularly HCM, Payroll and Financials) is essential
WorkDay or comparable experience with Tier 1/Tier 2 financial software experience desirable
Working knowledge of relevant legislations
Excellent report writing skills
Business and financial acumen with ability to apply commercial acumen as required
High degree of computer proficiency utilising Microsoft Office applications and internet
Microsoft BOARD experience desirable
This is Geelong based role with the option to work out of the Opteon Docklands office as required.
