About the Role
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, this is a terrific opportunity for someone to join our business on a 12 month contract and take the next step in their career. You will have the opportunity to process multiple payrolls across Australia and New Zealand and responsibilities will include:
Accurately prepare Opteon's incentive schemes including calculation, reconciliation, coordinate communications to stakeholders and prepare payroll import file
Ability to interpret and understand employment contracts and legislation
Deliver professional and customer service focussed responses to managers and employee valuer bonus payroll queries
Preparation and posting of Fortnightly Payroll Journals for Australia and New Zealand
Advanced understanding of Payroll systems and payroll processes
Finance and intermediate excel skills required for preparing and posting general ledger labour costing provision journals
Foster a positive and productive relationship with internal and external stakeholders
Assist Payroll Officer with payroll processing in high volume peak demands
Advanced written and oral communication skills, including attention to detail
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll related data to key stakeholders
Backup Payroll Manager duties as required
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience processing payrolls in a high volume, busy environment together with:
Solid experience in Award and statutory interpretation and legislation
Absolute attention to detail with robust problem solving skills
The ability to confidently communicate with all levels of an organisation
Can work autonomously as well as under supervision in an effective and timely manner
Flexibility and willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks in an ever changing environment
